As late summer settled over Combeinteignhead, rows of fiery orange dahlias stood against the wooded valley. Bruised windfalls lay scattered beneath an apple tree, softening in the grass, while translucent polytunnels burst with cosmos, lime zinnias, sweet peas and forget-me-nots.
Moving between intimate detail and the wider landscape, the series traces colour and repetition, forming a fleeting record of abundance before the season turns.
