I moved carefully through translucent polytunnels filled with cosmos, lime zinnias, sweet peas and forget-me-nots, their colours softened beneath plastic in the hazy, golden light of September. Moving between intimate detail and the wider landscape, the series traces colour, repetition and the quiet work of cultivation. For Issue One, I contributed The Parkland Walk, which follows a former railway line north from Finsbury Park. Along the route, I captured mushrooms clustered on fallen wood, hawthorn berries, rose hips, crab apples and the quiet meeting of woodland and city—trains passing beyond meadow grass and buildings glimpsed through the trees. The photographs trace abundance at the turn of the season, as the last fruits of summer give way to autumn. The sequences cut through the video in flickering black-and-white fragments—faces, gestures and details drawn from within the crowd.
